Dr Alison Alderson, School of Optometry & Vision Science, University of Bradford, UK.
Alison registered as an optometrist in the UK in 1991. After 16 years working in both hospital and private practice she returned to academia to complete a PhD at the University of Bradford. Since being awarded her PhD in 2011 she has worked in a supervisory role in the undergraduate teaching clinics at Bradford, as a part time post doctorial research assistant, as a specialist optometrist in the hospital eye service and as a locum optometrist. In December 2014 she joined the University of Bradford School of Optometry and Vision Science as a staff optometrist where she is responsible for teaching the undergraduate contact lens module and supervising final year clinics. Her research interest is vision and mobility.
