Filters and meshes: Are they effective, and if so how?

In recent years, filters reducing blue light transmission have been widely prescribed to reduce discomfort in digital device users, improve sleep quality and protect the retina from damage. Alongside this, a ‘mesh’ filter has been introduced to practitioners as a means of reducing similar problems and a range of others. In this lecture we will consider whether these interventions work and if so, how?
